Description

Bethune Childcare Centre Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced leader to lead our team as Centre Director for a 1-year term. This position is based out of Bethune, Saskatchewan.
The Centre Director reports to the Board of Directors and manage the day-to-day operations of Bethune Childcare Centre Inc., a Licensed Childcare Centre for 56 children. The Director is responsible for the successful leadership and overall management of the organization, while following the Philosophy and the Policies and Procedures of the Bethune Childcare Centre. They will maintain compliance with the Childcare Regulations, the Childcare Act.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Management experience, with proven administrative, supervisory, HR, team building, and leadership skills
Develop and maintain relationships with Ministry of Education
Monitor licensing standards and submit Ministry grant opportunities
Schedule staff to ensure proper staff to child ratios
Complete payroll accurately before each pay period pay date
Complete monthly bookkeeping, budgeting, and payments
Build family relations and provide family support
Conduct monthly staff meetings and attend monthly Board of Director meetings
Experience & skills:
A minimum of 3-5 year's experience working in an Early Learning or Childcare Centre setting
Experience working in a Director, Assistant Director, or Supervisor role
Experience working with non-profit Board of Directors is considered an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, staff, and Ministry of Education
A strong understanding of The Child Care Regulations and The Child Care Act
Required Education/Certification:
Minimum requirement Early Childhood Education Diploma, ECE Level III or equivalent
First Aid & CPR Level C
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Food Safe Certification
Driver's License
