Sask 1st Call is a dedicated service provider helping excavators and stakeholders stay safe and informed. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage essential financial tasks and ensure smooth daily operations. This is a remote role with flexible working hours and an opportunity to be part of a small, mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and send invoices to subscribers accurately and on schedule
Process monthly payments and ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding balances
Manage minimal accounts payable, including timely and accurate payment processing
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded
Collaborate with the Director to prepare monthly and quarterly reports
Suggest improvements to streamline accounting processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
Proficient in QuickBooks Online
Experience with payment processing software; preference given to those familiar with Plooto
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a remote environment
Familiarity with subscription-based invoicing and recurring billing models
Experience working with small non-profit or service organizations
Hours and Compensation:
This is a part-time role with flexible hours, estimated at 5-10 hours per week. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
This is 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and subject to Board approval.
