The Role
Camecos exploration department utilizes industry leading database management and visualization tools in our search for the next generation of uranium deposits. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Administrator of Exploration Land Holdings to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and management of our mineral and surface land leases and claims. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our world-class land holdings, ensuring regulatory compliance while providing GIS support.
In this role, you will:
-Ensure security of tenure on all lands held globally by Cameco Corporation (mining and exploration).
-Be responsible for the accuracy and regulatory submission of assessment reports, including the optimal cost distribution of assessment credits, and associated database management.
-Monitor project land assessment status and update summary spreadsheets providing assessment projections and identifying and implementing process improvements.
-Provide permitting support and assist with GIS database maintenance, provide mapping support to the department.
-Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including GIS enhancements and the development of automated reports.
Required:
-Post-secondary education in business, geography, GIS or other related fields
-3+ years of experience in database management, land administration, or a related field
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
-Proficient in Excel and Word (Office 365 suite)
