We are seeking a talented Interior Design Assistant & SketchUp Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, proficiency in SketchUp software, & the ability to follow design direction while also sourcing materials for interior design projects. This role plays a vital part in the creative process, bringing concepts to life through 3D modeling & material selection.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality 3D models using SketchUp & eventually Auto Cad, to visualize design concepts
Work closely with the president & projects team to translate ideas into accurate & functional renderings
Follow design direction & adapt models based on feedback
Source & recommend materials, finishes & furnishings to align with project goals
Assist in interior design decision-making by researching trends, suppliers & sustainable options
Collaborate with architects, designers, & project managers to ensure seamless execution
Maintain an organized digital library of design assets & materials
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in SketchUp & Auto Cad is required; experience with rendering software is required
Strong understanding of interior design principles & material selection
Ability to interpret design briefs & produce compelling 3D visualizations.
3 years minimum experience in Canada or the US in interior design related position
Follows directions of supervisor & is accountable
Detail-oriented with a passion for aesthetics & functionality
Strong organizational & time-management skills
Ability to work independently & within a team setting
Knowledge of other design software (Photoshop) is an asset
Canadian or American job references required
