Responsibilities:
Tasks:
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of servers, hosts/hostesses, and other front-of-house staff during shifts.
Monitor daily floor operations to ensure timely, friendly, and efficient service in line with Browns Socialhouse standards.
Assist in planning and organizing staff work schedules based on business levels, reservations, and special events.
Greet guests as needed, handle special requests, and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order taking, proper food running, and timely delivery of hot, fresh menu items.
Verify that all menu items are presented according to Browns Socialhouse plating, portioning, and quality guidelines before being served.
Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards throughout the front-of-house.
Enforce health and safety policies, including WHMIS and occupational health and safety requirements, and report any hazards or incidents to management.
Assist with inventory control for beverages, condiments, and dining room supplies, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Support opening and closing procedures for the restaurant, including completing checklists, securing premises, and preparing for the next shift.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute feedback on improving service, upselling techniques, and overall guest experience.
Train new staff on menu items, service standards, and customer service expectations.
