Description

The Prince Albert Housing Authority has an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team immediately!  If you have proven problem-solving skills, work well in a team environment while leading others, are a results focused leader with experience in building and property maintenance, we would love to hear from you!

Reporting to the General Manager, you will:
- Participate in the day to day operations of the maintenance functions for PAHA
- Provide leadership and supervision for the maintenance workers
- Oversee contracted work to ensure work is completed to standard
- Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget

What we are looking for:
- Knowledge of the basic techniques employed in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
- Experience in estimating, materials purchasing, accounting and budget preparation
- Ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
- Experience leading a team, supervising, planning, and coordinating employees and works tasks

What you will need:
- Grade 12 education, basic computer skills (Word, Outlook and Excel), supplemented with some post-secondary in business or technical/trade training (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) plus 5 years experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress, while prioritizing workloads and respecting peoples diversity and individual differences
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to organize and participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
- A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
