The Opportunity
JGL Commodities is seeking a motivated, detail-focused, and relationship-driven Commodity Trader to join our Moose Jaw or Saskatoon office. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating to support producers, customers, and internal teams. You will help develop and maintain business plans for procurement, warehousing, and merchandising of assigned commodities, while driving strong financial outcomes and building trusted relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Develop procurement strategies and manage assigned product positions.
Approve pricing within guidelines and address supplier shortages or quality concerns.
Oversee logistics, allocations, and purchase and sales orders.
Monitor market trends and recommend proactive action plans.
Track progress toward business goals and prepare regular reports.
Build strong relationships with producers, customers, and internal teams.
Communicate market updates and sales strategies clearly.
Support accounting, credit processes, and general administrative needs.

What You Bring
Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Logistics, or related field.
Experience in agri-commodities with knowledge of the Canadian grain industry.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Innovative approach to logistics is an asset.
Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
