Accountabilities
Provide support to project managers working out of Gunnar Mine and Mill, Lorado Mill, and Satellite Sites in all project activities including daily decision-making and meeting deliverables
Track project schedules and budgets, reviewing financials and coordinate payment for invoices and change orders
Participate in creation of technical reports, applications for licenses and permits, management system documents, work instructions and safe work procedures
Coordinate the site change process by reviewing contracts and communicating changes to contractors
Participate in procurement activities, such as evaluation and selection of vendors, creation of request for proposals, tenders and gathering supporting documentation
Carry out quality control and quality assurance activities
While working in the field, conduct site inspections and audits, environmental sampling and provide direction to on-site contractors with regards to contractual scope of work and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Engineering or Science degree in a field related to the environment, remediation or mining
3-5 years of experience in a related field such as environment, remediation, engineering, geology, mining or construction
Field work experience is preferred but not required
Requirements
Travel to remote, radiation-impacted abandoned mine sites for up to 2 weeks at a time
Extended working hours (up to 12 hours per day) while in the field
Travel by small aircraft, boat and all-terrain vehicles
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Willingness to be designated as Nuclear Energy Worker (training will be provided)
The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
