What You'll Do:

Provide day-to-day care, support and therapeutic intervention to youth in a residential setting.

Develop and implement engaging activities that promote personal growth, cultural awareness, and community involvement.

Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every young person feels valued and respected.

Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to create individualized care plans.

Be a role model and mentor, guiding youth through life's challenges and celebrating their successes.

Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

-Post-secondary Education in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is considered an asset.
-Previous experience working with youth in a care or support role.
Understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and issues affecting Indigenous communities.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with youth, families, and team members.
-Ability to build trusting relationships, show empathy, and provide emotional support.
-Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and find constructive solutions.
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
-Valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certification
-Recent Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening.
-Valid Class 5, Novice 2, or Higher Drivers License
