The Family Finder Assessor will have the responsibility of conducting family assessments for the First Nations Child & Family services, on families who are interested in providing a home for child/ children in the care of the Ministry. Conducting Home study reports according to the requirements/ standards; develop and maintain a foster home registry consisting of resources available at the First Nations level and urban centers. This position is responsible for providing guidance, support and direction to Family Finders staff to children in care from our member First Nations. The Assessor will actively participate in the recruitment process when required, this position is responsible for the protection and guardianship components of the Agency, the Ministry as well as the Family Finders program. Qualifications: BSW/ BISW OR 5 years' experience working in Child & Family services, a combination of Education and experience also will be considered. Knowledge of Family Support Services, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community based organizational environment. Effective written and oral communication skills, computer skills an asset. Must have a valid Saskatchewan Driver's License must have a recent CPIC with a vulnerable sector check.
Candidates selected for a Interview are required to provide a current CPIC and proof of Education upon attending the Interview.
