Description

Seeking a warm, extremely patient nanny to provide child supervision and second-language vocabulary development for a family with an infant and toddler. A major focus of this role is language and vocabulary development through daily interaction, play, and reading. Therefore, in addition to speaking English, you must be fluent in any one of the following:
- Korean
- French


---Example Responsibilities---
Provide attentive, loving care for an infant and toddler (the children do not have special needs).

Support language development in English and either Korean or French through conversation, reading, show and tell, outdoor excursions e.g to grocery stores, play, etc.

Plan outings (parks, exhibits, local activities) as appropriate.

Read daily to the children and encourage a love of books and storytelling.

Maintain hygiene of the children, clean up after them, change bed sheets, and do laundry for the children.

Drive children to activities as needed.


---Must Have---
Fluent in English and either Korean or French.

Must live in either Regina or Moose Jaw.

Valid drivers license and safe driving record.

Demonstrated patience, gentleness, and respect for young children.

Legally allowed to work in Canada and available full time January to December.

Background checks and references will be requested from shortlisted candidates.


---Preferred/Bonus Experience---
Experience as a tour guide or in roles explaining and describing exhibits, places, or activities.

Experience reading to groups of children (e.g. in a library).

Familiarity with or interest in Montessori philosophy.
