Description

Mackenzie Infant Care Centres is a teen parent support centre, providing quality care to infants, toddlers and preschoolers whose parents are attending high school. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, hardworking, responsive, excited, and eager to learn to become a part of our team.
Key Responsibilities are:
- Providing attentive care for infants and/or toddlers, responsively meeting their needs (feeding, diapering, potty training, comforting, engaging, nap time etc)
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate and engaging activities that fosters and supports all aspects of children's development while observing and monitoring developmental milestones and progress.
-Collaborating with team members and other collaborating professionals.
-Supporting the needs of teen parents by offering guidance on child development, positive parenting practices, and being a positive mentor.
- Promote culturally sensitive and inclusive environments that respects individual backgrounds/experiences.
- Monitor and maintain a safe, clean, and organized physical environment - following centres cleaning procedures and following regulated standards.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols and procedures.
- Participate and actively apply ongoing professional development and training relevant to early childhood education and the unique needs of working with teen parents.

The sucessful candidate MUST have:
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education with certification of level from the ministry of education of Saskatchewan.
- up to date CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Criminal record check within 6 months
- Play and Exploration/Play and Exploration - Infant and Toddlers
- Experience working with infants and toddlers is preferred
- Communication and observational skills
- Ability to work alongside varying team members and colleagues
- Punctual and regular attendance is important
