Chateau St. Michael's is a vibrant 93 room personal care home located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
We are currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our team of cooks and dietary servers and ensure we provide the highest level of service and nutritious meals to our residents, families and guests.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Kitchen Manager is a key part of our leadership team and requires a strong understanding of team management, exceptional and creative cooking skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Hiring and training all kitchen staff, including training on food safety and maintaining a safe work environment
Create and maintain the department schedule
Supervise culinary staff to ensure quality services are provided and consistent compliance with recipes
Perform administrative tasks such as the ordering of food supplies and equipment in accordance with company policies
Keep up to date with industry trends and standards
Assist with the creation of new recipes to keep the menu fresh
Evaluate, respond and implement changes based on resident feedback and needs
Support a collaborative environment within the kitchen and the entire facility
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Past experience managing a kitchen
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage staff and promote a positive work environment
Experience in all aspects of food production, food handling and visual presentation
Excellent sanitation and quality control
