The Opportunity
Horizon School Division isseekinga highly skilled and experienced Technical Services Analyst to oversee and manage our technology team across multiple schools within the division. This leadership role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring the efficient operation of all IT systems, managing the technology budget, inventory supply management, and collaborating closely with the Superintendent of Operations/COO, as well as a team of network and application professionals.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide leadership and direction to our team of IT support technicians across multiple schools within the division
-Oversee the day-to-day operations of the technology department, ensuringhigh levelsof performance, security, and availability
-Manage andmonitorthe technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions andtimelyprocurement of necessary supplies and equipment
-Collaborate closely with the Superintendent of Operations/COO and other senior leaders to develop and implement technology strategies aligned with the division's goals
-Coordinate with network and application professionals to ensure seamless integration and functionality of IT systems
-Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training and development opportunities for team members, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
-Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements to continually improve and modernize the division's IT infrastructure
Qualifications and Abilities
-Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
-Skilled at installing/configuring modern networking equipment such as switches, routers, and access points
-Ability to conduct research into security issues and emerging technologies asrequired
-Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
-Highly self-motivated and directed with exceptional attention to detail
