Description

The Addictions Workers will plan addictions programming, facilitate workshops, counsel and record client progress, and promote healthy programs, treatment options and services that will meet the needs of our clients at Montreal Lake Detox Centre.

Starting Wage is $21.58/ Hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing safety and security for the facility, clients,  program, and community.
Provide supportive services that meet the needs of the clients.
A daily log of the clients condition and progress.
Ensure security, including monitoring compliance with the program.
Assist clients as part of their daily routine as required.
Facilitate addictions programming
Create, organize, and participate in social and recreational activities.
Plan and coordinate land-based activities when appropriate.
Provide information and resources on formal and informal support for recovery.
Conduct individual, group, and crisis intervention/stabilization counselling services.
Follow through with the individual program plan of the client.
Ensure appropriate records are completed promptly, such as the staff log, client program plan, contact notes and incident reports.
Attend to light housekeeping requirements.
Receive and respond to phone inquiries and attend clerical duties as required.
Participate in meetings with all involved in the clients treatment plan to provide critical information outlining situations they are seeking to be addressed.
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and other short courses to upgrade skills and knowledge on addiction information, treatment, and detox approaches.
Assist clients in sorting out options and developing plans of action while providing necessary support and assistance.
