The Ministry of Social Services is looking for dynamic individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team as a Child Protection Assistant Supervisor. In this role, you will supervise, manage, and implement programs designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children, parents, and foster families utilizing the Family Centered Case Management Model and P.R.I.D.E. Model of Practice.
In this position, you will:
-Coach, mentor, and train staff, as the expert and role model on your team.
-Demonstrate leadership exemplified by respect and empowerment, in order to encourage employees to achieve success.
-Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff in the absence of the supervisor, concerning placements of children and supporting caregivers with children in care.
To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university, as approved by the SASW/CASW or CASWE. The successful candidate will have several years of experience in Child Protection/Childrens Services- within Child and Family programs AND supervising professional staff.

This competition will be used to create an eligibility list that will be valid for up to 6 months and will be used to staff current and future opportunities.
