Description

The Cultural Program Manager is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the cultural program, including the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of cultural programs in consultation with the Elders, Elders Council, and the Executive Director. This position supervises and provides guidance to the team of all cultural program employees and the Elders Council.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five years of experience supervising others.
Minimum five years of program management with experience in budget, workplans, and reporting.
Previous work experience in First Nations communities.
Demonstrates an understanding of the social determinants of health and how they may impact First Nations people.
Education in management, native studies, or a health-related field in combination with experience would be an asset.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the organization (strategic priorities, values, goals, services, and programs)
Ability to speak and understand the Cree language is a definite asset.
Ability to lead, mentor, and support employees.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to adapt to and manage change.
Successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license and ability to travel.
