Meadow Lake Outreach Ministries is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to serving the community of Meadow Lake and surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide essential services such as food assistance, childcare, housing support, transportation programs, and community engagement to improve the lives of those we serve.
Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Support Worker for our Knights of Hope Program in Meadow Lake. In this role, you will provide safe, supportive evening transportation for individuals accessing shelter and essential services, ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is a term role until March 2026, with continuation subject to funding.
Responsibilities
Safely transport clients to and from shelters, food programs, and designated community locations.
Operate program vehicles responsibly, following all safety and organizational protocols.
Provide respectful, non-judgmental support to clients during transport.
Maintain accurate transportation logs, reports, and vehicle checklists.
Communicate with shelter and program staff regarding client needs or concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the program vehicle.
Respond calmly and professionally during unexpected or challenging situations.
Uphold the organizations values of compassion, respect, and community service at all times.
Willing to work from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm
Qualifications
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drives license with a clean driving record.
Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive or unpredictable situations with empathy and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills and attention to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of community resources in Meadow Lake is a plus.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work evening hours.
Prior experience is highly consider for this job.
