Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Propane Service Technician on a permanent basis at our Propane Branch in Melfort, SK. We offer consistent working hours, all required work gear, & a work area that will have you home every night.
What you'll do:
- Present a positive image in customer service while installing propane tank systems & related equipment for various local customers.
- Conduct scheduled inspections for customers, filling plants & service trucks, assessing potential hazards & reporting as required.
- Operate a crane truck while following applicable standards during rigging, loading, securing, & transporting of tanks and other equipment.
- Adhere to all standard work procedures/policies, industry codes, & regulations, with a high standard of safety in all operations.
-Participate in an on-call program for emergency call outs on evenings & weekends to service customer needs as required.
Who you are:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have a General or Domestic Gas Fitter license; preference will be given to General Gas Fitter.
- You have or are willing to obtain a Class 3A license.
- Are comfortable with physically demanding work such as pulling heavy hose equipment, moving cylinder tanks and other equipment with a minimum weight of 50lbs.
- Are familiar with computers and/or electronic log systems.
- Are a self-starter who works well independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
What we offer:
- A wage range of $27.42 - $36.14 for Service Tech II, and $31.15 - $43.80 for Service Tech III as per the collective bargaining agreement.
