Description

The CSTTP Instructor will deliver instruction and hands-on learning to program participants on real-world software development projects. This independent contractor engagement is funded through a short-term grant under the personal interest course stream. The contractor will provide instructional services on a project basis, with hours and engagement varying based on program and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach foundational and project-based computer science topics.
Guide program participants in designing and executing real-world software development projects.
Support event and project coordination, system setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Monitor and evaluate program participants progress, providing regular updates and awarding micro-credential certifications.
Perform other related instructional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Minimum two years of experience in computer science, software development, IT systems, or related work.
Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, etc.).
Experience working in diverse, cross-cultural settings.
Demonstrated success in technology project management or leadership.
Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentorship experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Creativity and collaboration in delivering engaging learning experiences.
