Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our Camel Towing Regina team. The ideal candidate MUST have a valid 1A or 3A license and be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely recovery operations. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally. The Tow Truck Driver will operate flatbed and tow trucks, including those with manual transmissions, and may also assist with light automotive repairs when necessary.

Duties

Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to recover and transport vehicles.
Load and unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service during roadside assistance or vehicle recovery situations.
Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach.
Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure optimal operation.
Assist with automotive repair tasks or mechanical troubleshooting as needed, leveraging mechanic experience.
Use forklifts or other equipment as required for loading or unloading vehicles or parts.
Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, transports, and related activities.
Experience

Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbeds, with knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, repair, and manual transmission operation.
Experience with automotive repair or mechanic work is highly desirable.
Familiarity with conflict management techniques to handle difficult customer interactions professionally.
Strong driving record with valid commercial drivers license (CDL) preferred.
