Job Description: Within a multidisciplinary team, provides psychological assessment, consultation and mental health treatment to families whose children and/ or youth are suffering from a range of mental health disorders. Incumbent will participate in mental health promotion, prevention and consultation with community agencies. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education
- PhD in Clinical Psychology
- Doctorate in Psychology.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a psychologist by the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, with Authorized Practice Endorsement.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a mental health setting working with children, youth and families presenting with acute mental health problems.
- Experience in assessment and treatment techniques
- Experience in family and group intervention modalities
- Experience working in partnership with the community
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge of normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology. Knowledge of family systems, and models for therapeutic intervention strategies appropriate to the treatment of child, adolescent mental health diagnoses and family problems. Knowledge of interventions empirically validated or supported by best practice literature.
