Description

This opportunity is a 4-month term from May  August 2026 and is based at the Bethune mine site. Reporting to the Supervisor, Surveying, the Student, Survey Technologist will assist with:

-Monthly bathymetric volume surveys of Cooling Ponds via sonar.
-RPAS LiDAR projects as required.
-3D Laser Scanning projects as requested.

Qualifying requirements for this role:

-Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies in Geomatics and must be returning to full time studies.
-Valid Class 5 drivers license.
-Previous survey experience considered but not required.
-Capacity to work outside in various elements.
-Adheres to safe working protocols.
-Comfortable with heights, noise, and a plant environment.
-Willingness to learn with a strong interest in modern survey technology.
-Civil 3D experience considered an asset.
-Working knowledge of the following is considered an asset: Trimble GPS and SX10 Total Station, -Trimble Business Center, -FARO 3D Laser Scanners and FARO Scene software.

The Bethune mine is located approximately 45-minutes from Regina and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Working hours are 6:45am - 4:45pm, Monday to Thursday. Occasional overtime may be required.

Subsidized bus transportation from Moose Jaw is available. Transportation from Regina or surrounding area is not provided.
