Position Overview
Salaried position rate of pay is set by Village Council which is reviewed annually
Any time worked outside of regular working hours can be banked and not carried over into the following year employee is responsible for giving a minimum one weeks notice for intended time off in lieu, which needs to be approved
Regular hours of work are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday with a one-hour lunch break and two fifteen-minute coffee breaks
Small tools for the job are to be supplied by the employee. The Village of Zenon Park will pay to insure them when on Village property
Truck allowance of flat rate.
Paid to employee for travel beyond a 10km radius of the Village
Employee is granted 5 sick days per year No carry over
Employee is entitled to 3 weeks of vacation per year. Earned after the first year of work, until 10 years of service, and four weeks thereafter employee is responsible for giving a minimum one weeks notice for intended vacation which needs to be approved. Vacation time must be taken in year accumulated and not banked.
Weekend work hours may be required, contingent upon snow removal needs. This requirement is subject to vary based on weather conditions and operational demands.
Essential Job Functions
Day to day operation of the Water Treatment Plant as required by Saskatchewan Water Security Agency
Quarterly water meter reading
Road maintenance including grading, minor street repair, and snow removal as per policy
Lift station operation and lagoon maintenance
Fire hydrant care Flushing semi annually
Equipment maintenance
Lawn care and maintenance of Village properties including the recreational facilities- cutting, spraying and trimming
Review the to do list weekly with the Village Administrator & timesheet submitted

Other duties as required
