Description

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the TAMMS Support Worker, is responsible for the provision of financial money management services to our TAMMS clients.
Job Duties:
Receive and process referrals from the Ministry of Social Services for clients on trustee services receiving SIS and/or SAID income assistance.
Screen and assess clients monthly and create financial budget plans.
Work with community clients to help them pay their bills and ensure their basic needs are met.
Schedule and attend the cheque pick up dates; and meetings to assess budget planning.
Provide financial literacy mentoring (including but not limited to setting up bank accounts, budget planning, meal planning, and other financial plans).  
Work alongside other NYFC program staff to case plan and case manage clients to ensure they have access to a wide array of supports promoting a holistic approach to over-all wellbeing. Work in a team environment to promote centre functions and cleanliness of the building. Assist other program support staff as needed to ensure all programs are operating efficiently.  
Maintain and report on program statistics and outcomes.
Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
Must have experience dealing with clients who have an intellectual disability, mental illness, addictions issue or other medical condition that impacts their ability to manage their money effectively, or those who lack knowledge about managing a monthly budget.
