What youll accomplish:
-Provide expertise, oversight, coaching and guidance to ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, and standards
-Provide project engineering support and execute small to medium sized projects
-Identify requirements and prepare detailed designs for a variety of projects
-Conduct risk assessment of new designs
-Collaborate with tradespeople and operators to propel and implement standards and improvements
-Identify opportunities for improvement and develop proposals
-Work with other subject matter experts and operational personnel to solve process problems
-Recommend and implement department engineering processes and procedures
-Actively participate in various safety initiatives, including but not limited to: regular safety huddles, safe work plans (SWPs), and safety days
What were seeking:
-Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial Chemical or Process Engineering from a recognized university. Technologists with applicable experience will be considered
-Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training in Saskatchewan (APEGS)
-Preference given to those with experience working at an industrial facility
-Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is an asset
-Knowledge of codes, standards and best engineering practices as applied to mining and milling applications is an asset
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake mine site
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
