Description

DUTIES:

Summary:   The Treehouse Emergency Receiving Home Manager oversees all operations for Treehouse Emergency Receiving Home for Children (0-11) as per service contract.  Includes management of personnel, finances, programming, training and following child protective measures.

Management of Facility Operations and Expectations

    Ensure administrative documentation including outcome measurements, statistics, report writing, timesheets, and expense claims are completed (i.e., regular fire drills, board reporting, health/ fire inspections)
    Supervision of approximately 25 staff (full time, part time and casuals) Ensure staff scheduling and HR tracking completed.
    Hiring, professional development, supervision and evaluations of self and staff
    Ensuring proper financial management of department completed as per contracted requirements. Includes annual and multi-year work plans and budgets.
    Ensure the Social Services minimum requirements for our facility are adhered to by all staff.   Able to monitor video surveillance for reviews.
    Ensure required reporting is done accurately and in a timely manner to all levels of management and contracts.
    Always follow a strict code of confidentiality.
    Adhere to agency policies and procedures
    Ensure client care needs are addressed at all levels.
    Be a team player and work with the leadership team
    Be non-judgmental, respectful, empathetic to clients' needs, and a healthy role model
    Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

    Post secondary education in business admin, human resources, or a combination of education and experience with a minimum of 5 years in management with a supervisory role.
    Knowledge of child growth, development and behaviors is considered an asset
    Crisis management skills are an asset
    Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekends
