Description

We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Food Safety and Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team in Tisdale, SK. The role includes:

- Execute, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System, Food Safety program, HACCP, Food Defense and Third-Party Certifications
- Liaison with CFIA, regulators, auditors, and customers
- Create, evolve, and monitor compliance of SOPs, HACCP plans, GMPs, process diagrams and preventive control programs
- Prepare and lead Food Safety committee meetings and action items
- Provide guidance and training on food safety and quality programs/standards, sanitation and documentation
- Work with operations staff on testing protocols and requirements to meet/exceed quality and safety requirements while maintaining production efficiency
- Conduct routine sampling and testing of raw materials, in process product, and finished goods
- Complete root cause and continuous improvement projects to enhance product safety and quality and ensure corrective/preventative actions are addressed, recorded, and closed in a timely manner
- Lead internal and external audits (FCCS22000, CFIA, customer, third party certifications such as Kosher, Halal, etc.)
- Conduct routine facility inspections to verify compliance with sanitation, allergen control, and food safety programs
- Complete and maintain accurate records of production, inspections, testing, and customer documentation

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Minimum 2+ years direct experience or administration of FSSC22000, HACCP, SFCR Standards, quality and food safety systems
- Post secondary education in food science, agriculture or related field is an asset  
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Customer focused and solution oriented
- Flexible on work schedule to meet priorities and deadlines
