We are seeking a part time permanent IVA Counsellor

Location: Estevan

Start date : As soon as possible depending on
             successful applicant.


DUTIES to include:

* Counselling for individuals, couples and families in
   crisis
* Provide counselling related to interpersonal
   violence & abuse, sexual assault and childhood abuse
* Develop/promote/facilitate Envisions programming
   including groups, training, workshops, presentations
   and public events
* Advocate, support and effectively collaborate with
   community agencies for clients personal, physical
   and emotional health
* Travel is required for meeting or client transports
   as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  * Bachelor Degree or diploma related to social
    service work is preferred. Relevant experience and
  * knowledge would be considered essential
  * Knowledge and experience in various counselling
    areas including: interpersonal violence and abuse,
    suicide & crisis intervention and group
    facilitation
  * Knowledge of counselling theories, understanding of
    client-centered and strength-based services
  * Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  * Computer literacy level to respond to the
    requirements of the position
  * Team player with a positive attitude
  * Reliability and flexibility to meet the demands of
    the position
  * Effective decision-making skills
  * Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
