Job Description: The incumbent will provide clinical addiction services to a primarily adult population. While primarily an adult oriented service, as necessary and appropriate, the incumbent may provide direct services to youth as well. The primary goal of this position will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help with substance use problems by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery therapies. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct services, consultation, community resource development and education. The incumbent will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include providing informational programming, as well as individual and group counselling with relevant family and community members. This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs of clients and implement treatment plans to assist clients in reaching their recovery goals. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
