Description

Key Responsibilities
- Oil and Fluid Services: Drain old engine oil, replace it with the correct type and amount, change oil, air, and fuel filters. Inspect and top off other vehicle fluids like transmission, coolant, and brake fluid.
- Tire Services: Mount, dismount, and balance tires. Check tire pressure and perform tire rotations to ensure even wear. Repair minor tire damage.
- Basic Inspections and Maintenance: Inspect vehicles for potential issues, such as brake wear, fluid levels, and tire condition. Replace components like windshield wipers and air filters.
- Vehicle Operation: Test-drive vehicles to check components and systems, using diagnostic tools.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Restock parts and supplies.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain shop equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

Key Skills & Requirements:
- Problem-Solving: Abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, and making judgments and decisions are important for resolving mechanical issues.
-Installation & Repair: Ability to properly install, mount, balance, and repair tires.
-Maintenance & Inspection: Knowledge of tire wear patterns, basic vehicle inspection, and quality control.
-Tire Knowledge: Understanding of different tire types, sizes, tread patterns, and materials.
-Equipment Operation: Proficiency with tire changers, balancers, and other specialized shop equipment.
-Driver's License: A valid driver's license is often necessary to drive service trucks to various sites.
