Description

The Event Student supports the planning and execution of the Foundations summer Friendraiser event, as well as other community and donor engagement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in event management, relationship building, and community outreach. Students in this position will work closely with the staff team to plan, organize, and deliver events that reflect the Foundations mission of supporting philanthropy and community connection.

Strategic Alignment of the Position:  

This position directly supports the Foundations goals of fostering community engagement and strengthening relationships with donors, charities, and stakeholders. By planning and delivering meaningful events, the Event Student helps increase awareness of the Foundations impact and facilitates greater community connection.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in planning and executing the Friendraiser summer event, including logistics, dcor, scheduling, and day-of coordination.
* Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, charities, and event sponsors.
* Contribute to budgeting and sponsorship outreach within project timelines.
* Support marketing and promotional efforts related to events.
* Opportunity to represent the Foundation at community gatherings such as booths, parades, and public events.
* Collaborate with Foundation staff to ensure all events reflect the Foundations mission and brand values.
* Support administrative and logistical tasks as required.

Qualifications:

* Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Experience or interest in event planning, communications, or nonprofit work is an asset.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital tools.
* Available to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
