This position will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Environmental and Geoscience professionals tasked with developing and managing programs that support all aspects of the mine life-cycle. This is an intermediate position with the opportunity for professional growth through exposure to a wide variety of technical programs. We are looking for a curious, dedicated person who is interested in continuous improvement with safety and the environment in mind.
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of technical programs in areas such as:
o Tailings and waste rock management (geochemical and geotechnical studies)
o Mill process investigations/ optimization
o Groundwater program development, oversight and analysis
o Environmental Monitoring
o Assessment of existing and planned waste management facilities
o Progressive Decommissioning
-Assist in the preparation and communication of technical and regulatory documents for internal circulation, regulatory review, and rightsholders communication
-Assist in the co-ordination and execution of technical field programs
Skills and Qualifications:
-University degree in engineering, geology or relevant science discipline
-Eligible to register as a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
-Strong problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
-Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
-Ability to lead and actively participate in a team environment, as well as work independently
-Ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with peers, other departments and consultants in a diverse, multi-disciplinary project team
Work Location & Schedule:
-Saskatoon Corporate Office with travel to McClean Lake Site as required
-8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
