Essential Functions of the Job:
1.Follow through on First Part Checked procedure and SOP following procedure and sign offs
2.Follow SOP of weldments and signoffs
3.Spot and weld assemblies
4.Properly handle and use jigs safely and properly
5.Daily inspections of rotators to identify loose hardware or other defects and grease as per requirements
6.Cleaning welds and removal of splatter when weld is completed
7.Identifying weldment with assigned stamp
8.Maintain a clean and organized work area
9.Maintain schedule and deadline requirements
10.Take instruction and workload assignments from Supervisors
11.Participate in safety observations when being observed and when its turn to fill out as assigned
12.Safety inspections of hoists, rigging, forklifts and weld equipment as per requirements (rigging peruse) cranes and forklifts as assigned or first on the machine or hoist
13.Inspecting and reporting any non-conforming product
14.Attend training as directed by management
15.Participate in ongoing lean initiatives as required by management.
16.Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to read shop drawings
Ability to follow safe work procedures
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision
Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication and weld process
Good communication skills
Knowledge of small hands tools, impacts and air tools and rigging
Education and Experience:
Forklift Training as determined by Supervisor
Overhead Crane/Rigging
WHMIS Training
Working Conditions:
Standing for extended amounts of time
Frequent stooping, reaching
Moving over uneven, rough ground
Balancing in high, narrow places
Climbing ladders and stairs, Liftin or carrying alone or with assistance
Performing physical labor for extended periods of time
Pushing, pulling or dragging alone or with 50LBS
Working outside in heat & snow.
