About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager of Health, Safety, and Wellness, the Safety Specialist plays a key role in promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment across all eHealth-supported facilities in Saskatchewan. This position is responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, procedures, policies, and training initiatives, while ensuring adherence to provincial legislation, Workers Compensation Board requirements, and other regulatory standards. The Safety Specialist also conducts workplace incident investigations, analyzes safety data to identify trends, and collaborates with organizational leaders to ensure timely and effective completion of corrective actions.
What Youll Do
As a Safety Specialist, you will:
Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures tailored to our IT and healthcare environments.
Provide training and education to employees on safe practices, emergency procedures, and equipment handling.
