This role focuses on cost and plant accounting for Biggar and Sheboygan plants, ensuring accurate inventory costing, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Youll partner with stakeholders to deliver analytical reporting on production costs and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain standard cost estimates and BOMs in SAP.
Ensure timely, accurate monthly close with proper controls.
Analyze production costs vs. budget/history for correct treatment.
Coordinate year-end inventory count and monthly cycle counts.
Maintain reserve analysis for excess/obsolete inventory.
Develop plant cost accounting policies and procedures.
Create reports and KPIs to support business decisions.
Identify improvements in inventory and cost practices.
Provide financial info to auditors, tax advisors, and insurers.
Support forecasting and budgeting as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Accounting.
5+ years related experience.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
SAP, ERP, and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, communication, and detail orientation.
Proven success partnering with manufacturing teams.
