Emergency Medical Training Captain
Make a real impact on community safety! As Emergency Medical Training Coordinator, youll design, deliver, and evaluate advanced training programs to maintain and enhance emergency medical response capabilities within our Fire & Protective Services team. Youll lead initiatives based on industry best practices, ensure compliance, and support the development of highly skilled firefighter/paramedics. This role reports to the Assistant Chief of Education & Training and plays a key part in building a safer city.
What You Bring:
- Advanced Care Paramedic license and certification in Adult Education (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic Life Support and AED Instructor certifications.
- Minimum 2 years ACP experience and 2 years in adult instruction/training.
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical protocols, fire service operations, and OH&S regulations.
- Excellent planning, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt, innovate, and work independently in a dynamic environment.
