Equipment Operator
Full Time Permanent and/or Temporary
RM of Cote #271
The Rural Municipality of Cote #271 is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to work on our municipal maintenance team. Candidates with experience operating a grader, tractor, mower, chain saw, etc are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Work independently under the direction of the Foreman.
Work under extreme and changing climate conditions
Able and willing to work long hours, in physically demanding conditions, and perform physical labour and heavy lifting.
Operate the grader, with numerous attachments.
Operate the tractor, with numerous implements.
Complete daily routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on equipment.
Complete log books and timesheets accurately.
Mowing, rock picking, removal of fallen trees, sign repair, sign installation, shop maintenance, etc.
Qualifications
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Class 5 driver's licence is required, any level above is an asset.
Appropriate PME (Power Mobile Equipment) training.
Current criminal record check.
Competitive wages will be offered, based on past experience and qualifications. Education opportunities will be offered and required on an annual basis, including an annual review. There is opportunity for promotion to independently motivated individuals.
