Duties
Build trusting relationships with families to assess their needs and develop individualized support plans
Provide guidance and resources related to parenting, education, health, and community services
Assist families in accessing social services, healthcare, housing, and educational programs
Offer emotional support and crisis intervention when necessary
Conduct home visits to monitor progress and provide ongoing assistance
Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to coordinate services
Maintain accurate records of interactions, services provided, and progress notes
Educate families on child development, positive parenting techniques, and life skills Experience
Prior experience working with children or families is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity
Experience in social work, counseling, education, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory
A background check may be required to ensure safety and suitability for working with vulnerable populations This role is vital in supporting families through challenging times and fostering healthier communities.
Must-Have Requirements
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
First Aid/CPR Level C certification.
Valid Canadian full class 5 driver's license (we will not accept Novice 1 and Novice 2 candidates)
