Description

Touchwood Child & Family Services Inc. requires Child and Family Services Protection Worker for Touchwood Child & Family Services. The Child and Family Services Protection Workers Primary objective is ensuring the delivery of child and protection services to all the children living in the Touchwood Child and Family Services member nations safety and wellbeing of children in care, and work with the families to address identifies issues
Duties and Responsibilities:
-    Ensure ongoing management of cases in accordance with agency policy
-    Act on all reports of child abuse neglect and abandonment
-    Place children in need of protection with alternate care givers
-    Provide counselling and support services
-    Ensure appropriate placement resources are available and that the children in care are supervised and monitored appropriately
-    Case plans are Developed, continuously reviewed and updated as needed
-     Complete a comprehensive family social history and genogram with the family and maintain on file
-    Duty to report
-    Ensure safety standards of care are being followed and comply by quality assurance standards of the agency
QUALIFICATIONS:
-    BSW/BISW or related Degree
-    Criminal/Vulnerable Sector Check
-    Knowledge of First Nation Culture
-    Ability to develop and establish a trusting and strong working relationship with staff, clientele, First Nations communities and TCFS Inc. interest groups
-    Effective communication skills; computer literate
-     Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required
-    Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
-    Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and present at the time of the interview
