Description

This role focuses exclusively on administrative and bookkeeping tasksno Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification is required. Its an ideal opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in office administration.

After a successful probationary period, there is potential for this position to transition to fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on administrative, financial, and compliance-related tasks
- Prepare and submit grant reporting requirements through the provincial government portal, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Support payroll processing, including collecting and verifying timesheets and preparing payroll details for the board or payroll provider
- Maintain accurate and confidential child and staff files, including enrollment documentation, emergency contacts, certifications, and training records
- Manage billing and fee tracking, including generating invoices, monitoring payments, and following up on outstanding accounts
- Assist with budget tracking and basic bookkeeping duties, as requested by the Board
- Prepare administrative reports and summaries for the Boards monthly meetings
- Coordinate communication with families and staff, including distributing notices, updates, and reminders
- Ensure all licensing, safety, and compliance documentation is current and organized for inspections or audits
- Support day-to-day administrative operations and other tasks as assigned by the Board

Qualifications
- Previous administration or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace)
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage deadlines
