Description

Phoenix Residential Society, a community based health care organization, has an opening for a full time permanent position as a Housing Liaison in our Housing and other Management and Engagement Services (HOMES) Housing First Program. The Housing Liaison provides a wide array of support to individuals who were formerly chronically homeless once they are in permanent, stable housing.  The program is very flexible and provides an atmosphere of acceptance and non-judgemental approach when working with individuals.

Qualifications:
-Degree/diploma in the human services field or equivalent level of training and experience (minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
-Minimum of one years experience working in the field of homelessness, mental health, and addictions if degree/diploma
-Must possess as strong working knowledge of the Housing First framework.
-Must possess a strong knowledge and understand of systems, supports, and available community resources for the successful delivery of services for persons that are chronically homeless including income supports, life skills support, health, mental health, and addictions services.
-Must possess a strong working knowledge of addictions models including stages of change and harm reduction
-Ability to work independently and as a team
-Must demonstrate a proactive, hands-on whatever it takes approach to the provision of supports and services
-Must utilize a non-judgmental therapeutic trauma-informed care approach at all times.
-Must possess valid Class 5 drivers license and have daily access to a reliable vehicle to transport residents and execute daily duties
-Criminal record check required upon hire.
-Must have valid First Aid/CPR certification.

Shifts vary by week- please email to request copy of schedule; 36 hours per week.
