We are looking for a flexible and compassionate person who has a genuine love for people and can aid our students in their recovery journey.  Community is essential in recovery - our addiction workers are the heartbeat of this crucial support system.

Duties include: leading course curriculum when applicable, cooking and eating with the students, taking students to appointments when needed, assisting students with child care as needed, logging and updating student files, some administrative tasks, and more.

Having some exposure, knowledge, and training as it relates to homelessness, poverty, and addictions is an asset. In addition, a certain level of sensitivity, patience, and understanding are expected when working with marginalized population groups.

* Class 5 driver's license is necessary.
* Working shifts: Wednesday and Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
  Depending on the shifts of other employees, you may have additional hours if you are available.

Shayil Home is a Christian-based, non-smoking, 1-year residential women's addiction program, so the applicant must be comfortable working in this environment.
