Description

Disability Programs, Crisis and Respite Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to meet physical, emotional, and social needs, promoting independence and quality of life. We offer thorough onboarding, including safety training, and value employees who deliver client-centered services through collaboration, creativity, and support.

We seek caring, empathetic individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and committed to making meaningful changes in peoples lives. Candidates should be positive, patient, non-judgmental, and celebrate diversity while fostering independence and well-being.

Knowledge and skills typically gained through on-the-job experience are required; however, previous experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities or completion of a Special Care Aide Program is an asset. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to apply safety protocols, manage conflict, and assist with daily living and life skills. Flexibility for shift work in a 24/7 program and eligibility to operate a ministry vehicle are required. Exposure to behavioral risks may occur; PART training is provided.

Responsibilities include providing person-centered care, supporting daily activities, and maintaining a positive environment in transitional housing and respite programs.
