The Ministry of Highways, Fleet Services is seeking an organized, motivated Journeyperson Parts Person to provide exceptional customer service to the Swift Current Fleet Repair Shops. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to supervise and coach staff. You should be proactive, adaptable, and committed to process improvement while ensuring compliance with policies and financial guidelines.
Key qualifications include Journeyperson Parts Certification (or eligibility through apprenticeship or experience), computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a valid Class 5 drivers license. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. Experience managing inventory systems and providing guidance on purchasing and equipment specifications is an asset.
Responsibilities include identifying, sourcing, and managing parts and inventory; processing invoices; supervising Fleet Store employees and summer students; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
