Prairie Skies Integration Network brings together participants from a broad range of regional, municipal, community, and support-network bodies and disciplines. We connect with the community and encourage participation in building welcoming communities throughout Saskatchewans South-Central Region (based in Moose Jaw).
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is an invaluable resource for the regions community-newcomer integration. As part of Prairie Skies Secretariat, the APM supports the PM to manage overall operations and performs duties related to stakeholder involvement in the regions integration efforts. The APM directly reports to Project Manager (PM).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
In consultation with the PM, the APM performs the following duties:
Assist in developing the Networks Common Agenda and Action Plans.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address newcomer needs and community gaps.
Support Network coordination and partner engagement.
Maintain accurate records
Support scheduling, meetings, communication, and document management.
Track activities and prepare reports.
Assist in implementing public engagement and internal communication strategies.
Manage information distribution and email lists.
Support Prairie Skies integration efforts within the broader community.
Work flexible hours as required.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in Human/Social Services, Community Development, Communications, Office Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Exemplary organizational and project management skills
Proven skills in developing and implementing media materials
Keen understanding of diversity issues and experience working in a multicultural setting
Track record of working with multiple stakeholders to catalyze collaboration
Effective communication and public speaking
Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
