McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Position and Responsibilities
-Install, maintain, and repair all gas fired equipment and piping systems.
-Maintenance of all plumbing related equipment.
-Repair and troubleshoot heat, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC).
-Installation and repair of ABS, Copper, HDPE, PVC, and steel piping systems.
-Ability to work from blueprints and P and IDs.
-Knowledge of regulatory and code requirements.
-Some underground maintenance work required.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 90 days.
Requirements of the position:
-valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson plumber certification;
-valid Saskatchewan general gasfitters licence;
-general gasfitters licence is required to support the site employers gas licence;
-minimum combined five years experience in the areas of mine air heating, propane distribution, operation and maintenance systems, residential and commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and fire system maintenance; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
-experience with CMMS such as SAP
-emergency first aid certification; and
-pipefitter certification.
