QJC Homes is a custom home builder with multiple projects in the Lakeland and Elk Ridge area. We are looking for a qualified construction estimator to join our team. This position is casual and flexible, but requires travel to some locations. The right candidate is someone who is details oriented and highly organized with proven experience in accurate and reliable residential estimating. The Construction Estimator will:

* review and interpret construction drawings and specifications
* review project documents
* prepare accurate, detailed, timely estimates
* complete and share takeoffs
* clarify scopes as required
* solicit, review and collect quotes from trades and suppliers
* collaborate with management team
* apply building codes and local bylaws as needed
* consider change orders

Qualifications and skills required:
* experience in residential construction
* strong understanding of sequencing and systems
* interpretation of architectural and engineering drawings
* proficiency with estimating software
* strong communication skills
