Job Description and Responsibilities

The Software Developer works with industrial computers over wireless networks in an integrated client/server environment. The primary focus of this role is designing, developing and supporting systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Software Developers professional experience will contribute to generating innovative design and customize process feedback solutions.

* Maintain and support existing applications and systems
* Develop new applications
* Provide application support to end users
* Work with vendors to update and modify third-party systems
* Troubleshoot mill application software to minimize outages
* Resolve data issues on control systems under tight deadlines
* Shared on-call support duties with other team members

Requirements
* Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Systems Engineering
* Minimum 1-3 years of experience designing, developing and deploying applications within a Microsoft .NET environment
* Technical strengths in several of the following Microsoft technologies:
+ Visual Studio VB / C# / ASP.NET
+ Visual C++
+ SQL Server and Management Studio
+ Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)
+ Windows Communication Framework (WCF)
+ Entity Data Model (EDM)
+ Reporting Services
* Professional verbal and written communication skills
* Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Proven ability to balance multiple priorities
* Collaborative team player
