**This position will be situated at our Head Office in Saskatoon.
We are currently in search of a Controller to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the Controller is responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the internal operational activities related to Finance and Accounting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management, Contract Administration, and other administrative functions within Points Athabasca. Ensures Company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Directs and coordinates company financial planning and budget management functions.
Oversees daily operations of the finance and accounting functions.
Works with the Executive team to develop the business plan for the company.
Prepares financial analysis for contract negotiations.
Performs financial modeling functions to support business decisions and acts as an advisor to senior management.
Directs financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Coordinates year-end accounting requirements (tax return preparation, audit).
Overseas operations in connection with financial matters including accounts receivable and pay
